Blood tests and screening in Windhoek are done in the consulting rooms at Eastgate Clinic, with most rapid finger-prick and urine tests giving a result during the same visit. This group includes glucose and HbA1c for diabetes, cholesterol, thyroid, kidney and liver markers, inflammation tests, rapid HIV, malaria, hepatitis and COVID-19 tests, tumour markers, clotting tests, and heart checks such as resting, exercise and 24-hour Holter ECGs. Results are explained by the doctor, not left for you to interpret. Medical aid and private patients are welcome, and you can book online.
