A beta-2-microglobulin test is a blood test done at Eastgate Clinic in Windhoek used to help monitor kidney function and certain blood disorders. Levels of this protein can rise when the kidneys are not filtering as effectively as they should, or in relation to some conditions affecting the blood and immune system, giving your doctor a useful additional marker alongside other tests.
A small blood sample is taken in our rooms, and the result is interpreted by your doctor within the context of your overall health picture and reason for testing, with any follow-up steps discussed in the same visit.
