Gastroscopy and colonoscopy in Windhoek are performed in the on-site day theatre at Eastgate Clinic, under sedation, with the patient going home the same day. This group covers gastroscopy to examine the oesophagus and stomach for reflux, ulcers and unexplained pain, colonoscopy for bowel screening and investigation of bleeding or changed bowel habit, and sigmoidoscopy of the lower bowel with removal of any polyps found. Biopsies are taken during the procedure when needed and sent for laboratory testing. Medical aid and private patients are welcome, and you can book online.
