LLETZ and cervical cauterisation treatment is a procedure available in Windhoek to treat abnormal cervical cells, using cryotherapy, electro-cauterisation or LLETZ, a technique that removes a thin layer of abnormal tissue using a heated wire loop. Treatment is usually recommended after a pap smear or colposcopy identifies changes on the cervix that could develop into cancer if left untreated. Treating these cells early helps prevent that progression.
