Hysteroscopy with D&C combines an examination of the uterus with removal of uterine lining tissue, performed in Windhoek at Eastgate Clinic's on-site day theatre. The hysteroscopy allows your doctor to view inside the uterus directly using a fine camera, while the dilation and curettage, or D&C, removes tissue from the uterine lining, often for further laboratory analysis or to treat abnormal bleeding. Combining the two in one procedure means both diagnosis and initial treatment can often happen at the same time, which is more convenient than doing them separately.

It is carried out under anaesthesia, and most patients go home the same day once they have recovered. Your doctor will explain what was found and any next steps once results are available.
