What to expect

• The lesion is removed in our on-site day theatre under anaesthesia, with fine stitches placed to keep scarring minimal
• Mild swelling and tenderness of the lip afterwards is common
• Soft foods and gentle care of the area during healing, as advised by your doctor
• The removed tissue is sent to the laboratory to confirm it is benign, and your doctor reviews the result with you
