Performing this under general anaesthesia means you are completely unaware during the procedure, which can make a difficult extraction far less stressful, especially if multiple teeth are involved.
A visiting dentist carries out the procedure, supported by our anaesthetist and theatre team, so the surgical side is handled with the same standards as any other day-theatre operation. You will usually go home the same day once you have recovered from the anaesthetic.
What to expect
- You will need to fast beforehand as instructed ahead of general anaesthesia.
