An abdominal ultrasound is an imaging scan performed in our rooms at Eastgate Clinic in Windhoek that gives your doctor a detailed look at the organs within the whole abdomen, which can include the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, and other structures. Using sound waves rather than radiation, the scan helps investigate abdominal pain, digestive symptoms, or findings from a previous examination that need a closer look.
You will lie down while a probe is moved gently over your abdomen, and your doctor will review the images and discuss what they show once the scan is complete, in the same visit at our practice.
