Your doctor will assess you first to decide whether an IV drip is the right approach for your situation, and the infusion is then set up and monitored by our staff at Eastgate Clinic. It is generally a comfortable, seated procedure that fits into a single visit to our rooms.
What to expect

- Mild bruising at the injection site is possible afterwards

Yes, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Having something light beforehand and bringing a water bottle is sensible, especially if you are coming in dehydrated.
Can I drive home after an IV drip?
Most people can, provided the medicine given does not cause drowsiness. Your doctor will tell you if you should arrange a lift instead.
